...To decide that you know how the adult world works. I've been trying to put a little distance between myself and books and movies, get a little closer to literature and cinema. I thought that's what adults did. Read literature. Fewer cheap thrills, more art. Or something. The adults that read have learned from their adolescent mistakes, have they not? But alas, adults listen to pop (music) as well. I have learnt that just because a book is popular with an adult audience, that does not mean it is literature. I made the worst new year's resolution, and I haven't even been keeping it.  My resolution has been to say "You're welcome" more often when people say "Thank you" to me.  And even if I remember, there is a period of time after which it becomes weird to reply.  And I've got to remind myself  not to give a self-satisfied chuckle upon responding correctly, those are always my most sinister noises. I don't think I'm doing it right.  I have spent 98 minutes walking in the dark, in a thunderstorm, trying to find the source of a trail of liquid I can hear--- not see. The only thing I can see is a prick of light in the middle of the screen, no matter which direction I travel and it disappears when I press the X button. I bought the game because I heard it was scary, but so far it is just boring. SHERLOCK IS BACK ON. IT'S LIKE CHRISTMAS.
